Dental Exams

All new patients start with a dental examination.  During a dental exam, we will take x-rays to observe your hard tissues (teeth and bones) and examine your face, neck and mouth. The purpose of a dental exam is to screen for serious diseases and compile a list of problems. This list can then be used to develop a treatment plan or list of options for treatment.  Developing a treatment plan is an interactive process in which we discuss your oral health and together work on ways to improve it.

Dental Hygiene

We recommend a dental hygiene appointment every three to six months. A hygiene appointment is an appointment with a registered dental hygienist in which your teeth are cleaned to remove plaque and calculus (tartar). Plaque and calculus contain the bacteria that cause periodontal disease and cavities, so it is important to have routine hygiene appointments.  During this appointment, a exam by the dentist is also performed to make sure your mouth is in optimum health.

Kids!

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that all children have a dental home by age one, but did you know that it is also important that expectant Moms also be seen? The oral health of a mother has been shown to have impacts on a developing fetus. So come on in Mom and later bring your proud addition!

We don't believe that simply treating your children is enough. We think that kids should be engaged in their dental care. In this way we can not only keep them healthy now, but help them lead a healthy life. We have developed a series of interactive activities designed to help engage your kids in learning about maintaining a healthy mouth!
One Visit Crowns

If a tooth has a large area of decay, a fracture or it is necessary to replace an existing crown, we may be able to replace your crown in one visit. We utilize Cerec design and milling technology which allows us to often eliminate the mess and discomfort of tradition restorations and take your impression digitally. Also, we can in certain situations replace missing tooth structure without the need of a full size crown, limiting the amount of tooth lost. The crowns are milled from porcelain in the office allowing a crown to be delivered on the same day.

Other Services

We perform most services at our office, such as extractions, root canals, partials dentures, full dentures and grafting.  However, if your case requires a specialist to perform we have relationships with the best specialists in the valley, who will provide you with excellent care.

Emergencies

We know that emergencies happen, and we are here to help. If you have an emergency that is causing you pain we promise that we will get you in the same day. Also, we have weekend coverage for current patients because we know that emergencies don't always happen on schedule. So no matter when you need help we will be here. Relax, we care.

Dental Fillings

In cases of smaller areas of decay (or cavities) in a tooth, the tooth cavity can be removed and the tooth filled to replace the area lost. There are two main types of material used to replace a smaller area of lost tooth. The first is dental amalgam or a metal filling and the second is dental composite or a white filling. There are benefits and drawbacks to both materials, however, the quality and longevity of tooth colored or white fillings has dramatically increased in the last twenty years. The benefit of a white filling is that in most cases the tooth can be repaired to match the appearance of an untouched tooth. This allows for an aesthetic long lasting solution to tooth decay.
